County
Ambulance Service was founded in 1982 by the Andrews family.
Today, County Ambulance is the largest family operated ambulance
in Western Massachusetts with over 100 employees, a fleet of
over 30 vehicles and two locations in Pittsfield,
Massachusetts. Due to the hard work of the many employees
and management, County Ambulance is recognized as
leaders in the industry. Training, quality
improvements programs and relationships we have with
facilities such as Berkshire Medical Center have also
enhanced the reputation of being on the finest ambulance
companies anywhere in the region.
County is the exclusive provider of 9-1-1 emergency
ambulance service to the City of Pittsfield. Over the 24
years of providing that service has brought the Pittsfield
EMS system to one of the finest in the state in cooperation
with many City agencies. We are also the exclusive provider
of Paramedic Intercept Service to Central and South
County ambulance services.
Due
to the Andrews family philosophy the company has become
known as "The Company That Cares." County cares about its
employees, its patients and the many agencies and groups
that they work so closely with. Nary a day goes by that the
company doesn't go above and beyond to ensure the comfort
and safety of a client or patient.
